I want to know what you've all read lately. My personal adventures, and favorites, include but are not limited to:

The Gainsville Ripper by Mary Ryzuk
It was a steamy, tropical night on the tranquil campus of the University of Florida. As students slept peacefully in their beds, a shadowy figure crept silently into their dormitories and apartments. But before their terrified screams could hit the thick, night air, they found themselves caught in the grip of a sadistic maniac.

Bitterwood by James Maxey
Bitterwood has spent the past twenty years hunting down dragons, one at a time. But he is getting old and the hate that he has carried in his heart since a group of dragon-soldiers killed his family is beginning to fade. When he kills the royal prince dragon, the king decides the only retribution is genocide of the human race. Bitterwood is forced to enter the Free City, the grand trap designed to eradicate mankind, with thousands of others. Can he lead from within, or can a select few dragons unite to stop the king's madness from becoming reality. Full of rich characters and drama, this is an amazingly astute vision of our own culture by way of a feudal kingdom where dragons rule, and humans are used as workers or pets.

Out by Natsuo Kirino
This mesmerizing novel tells the story of a brutal murder in the staid Tokyo suburbs, as a young mother who works the night shift making boxed lunches strangles her abusive husband and then seeks the help of her coworkers to dispose of the body and cover up her crime. The coolly intelligent Masako emerges as the plot's ringleader but quickly discovers that this killing is merely the beginning, as it leads to a terrifying foray into the violent underbelly of Japanese society.

I Have Lived A Thousand Years by Livia Bitton-Jackson
What is death all about? What is life all about? So wonders thirteen-year-old Elli Friedmann, just one of the many innocent Holocaust victims, as she fights for her life in a concentration camp. It wasn't long ago that Elli led a normal life: a life rich and full that included family, friends, school, and thoughts about boys. A life in which Elli could lie and daydream for hours that she was a beautiful and elegant celebrated poet.

And, further most, Circle of Magic - Tris's book by Tamora Pierce.
Tris and her three fellow mages-in-training have barely survived an earthquake that hit Winding Circle Temple. Now pirates are threatening to destroy the only real home the young sorcerers have ever known. The companions realize they can save themselves and their community only by combining powers and becoming one force greater than the sum of its parts. But without the rivalry and menace within the four-person "unit," Tris's Book focuses instead on the growing friendship among the young mages and their realization that their magical connections are beginning to seep into other facets of their lives. Individually, the mages are also struggling to control their powers, which come on in overwhelming surges when their possessors feel strong emotions.

I have never been one to read many fictional books. I think the last thing I read was something by Sitchen http://www.sitchin.com/booklist.htm ... The 12th planet. He has some pretty interesting theories and all. I'd classify him more as speculative than fictional.

I've read some of his stuff, actually. And I would sincerely agree with you.

It's not necessarily fiction, yes, but does make for an interesting read.

The Gainsville Ripper was actually a non-fiction crime novel, as well as I Have Lived A Thousand Years, who follows a woman's story through the Holocaust.

And, the paranormal you say? Ever read anything on the Queen Mary? It's truly delightful. I've actually formed an organization here in Idaho called T.I.P.S, our slogan: Don't get T.A.P.S get T.I.P.S! Thought you might like that.

Queen Mary the ship? Not very much..

Speaking of TAPS, though... I have a friend who used to ghost hunt in their network. I'm not sure which group she's with now, but she's invited me to go with them a couple of times. They were also supposed to go on a hunt with Donna from the TAPS tv show.

Yes, the ship. It's quite fascinating.

Wow, how would it be?

I thoroughly enjoy TAPS, and would completely enjoy being a part of it...or something similar. Ouija boards are kind of fun to mess with, also Spirit boards. But, there's a thread for that. Haha, epic lawl...etc, yeah, bedtime.
