I be a music nut, basically I'm the guy who knows about the next best band about a year before everyone else. Mainly because I spend a lot of time scouring the net and yeah . . . I can't reveal my sources

Anyway, I see it as my goal in life to help people find good music they like. This ties in with me being a sound guy as well, but that's a story for another day when the Might Boosh isn't on in ten minutes time.
So, I guess I'll start with homegrown bands. I hail from New Zealand, and we have a lot of REALLY great music down here that no one else hears about. Here's a few:
Brooke Fraser - Ok so, if you want to hear the most amazing voice + the most amazing lyrics + the most awesome compositions, this is it. She's the cream of the singer/songwriter crop today. She's just about to break into the US, so keep an eye out for her. Here's her Myspace -

Their music is heavily experimental BUT it doesn't sound weird, in fact for all the muckamucks complaining about the, their music is more radio friendly than most stuff I hear. If you never listen to any other band I recommend, listen to these guys. Myspace -
