Synopsis – Brief True Faith, Eric Chappell
During the war with the demonic Nephilim, on their home planet of Celestia, the two factions of the angelic race – the Anunnaki and the Grigori - set up an outpost on a small, remote planet known as Earth. Once here, they began carving the life forms they encountered into allies they could use in their battle against the evil race of Nephilim. The finished product – humans – greatly resembled their creators, but were much weaker than anticipated. The project was considered a failure, and further production was abandoned.
Luckily there had been a turn in the tide of war on their home planet, and the Nephilim had been forced into an armistice as the result of a new weapon the angels had acquired. The ‘weapon’, which was in actuality a young angel known only by his codename: Metatron, possessed abilities that were unmatched by anyone on either side of the fight. For this reason, the Nephilim coveted him, wanting his powers for themselves, and the Angels knew they had to hide him someplace safe. So once again they returned to Earth.
It was decided that the best hiding place The Metatron would be living amongst the humans and posing as one of them. With an entourage of three elite arch angels, and his personal knight, Sareth, he was sent to inhabit the body of a human child. From life to life he has hopped across the history of this planet with his loyal friends and companions, his knight Sareth incarnating into human form to return to his side with each life time. However, the Nephilim soon learned of his location, and came here in pursuit.
Humanity was caught in the middle of the silent war, used as pawns by the Demons against their creators in the quest to capture the Metatron. Wars, famine, genocide, death and murder were their tools to thin out the population and pinpoint the exact location of their target. However, the angels managed to stay one step ahead of their pursuers, and keep The Metatron from their grasp. That is, until the last war - the final war - that razed the majority of the human population, and left radioactive pockmarks upon the earth in its wake. Sixty years later, in this post apocalyptic earth, the angel’s options for The Metatron’s next body are very slim, and the Nephilim use this to their full advantage. This is the part in the tale where True Faith begins.
